Egadgets - No delivery or refund

<div>My previous review was removed, probably at the request of eGadgets, so I am writing it again. This company and the individuals working there seem unable to grasp the level of anger felt by their duped clients. I was unfortunately one of those clients who tried to buy a inverter battery pack on their website in February 2023. The story is very similar to many others listed on this website. Egadgets accepted payment easily enough and then the excuses started as to why delivery would be delayed. I cancelled the transaction and was promised that a refund would be processed within 30 working days from date of cancellation as stipulated in their terms &amp; conditions. Needless to say the dates came and went and the excuses mounted. The latest excuse by Biancia came today, namely that their accounts department is overworked. The transaction was cancelled on 20 February 2023! I fail to understand what this company and the individuals working there are trying to achieve? In response to their repeated attempts to delay repaying a client, I have opened a case with the Consumer Ombud and also handed the matter over to a debt collection agency, whose lawyers deal with similar cases on a contingency basis. I hope that this review helps anyone else in a similar position.</div>
