EFFICIENT PASSPORTS ALBERTON - *******

On October 17th 2021, my wife and myself went to home affairs Alberton to apply for our unabridged marriage certificate as we were emigrating. the que was long and no social distancing was being adhered to. we noticed a shop called efficient passports and asked the woman if she could help with our marriage certificate. her name was Lena, she was very helpful at that point in time. Lena explained to us that it could take 6 to 12 weeks to get it, as covid was causing delays. she gave us a form to fill and asked us to get photo copies of our documents which we did. we explained that we were emigrating in January 2022. this fell inside our time line and we paid the R450 fee. we contacted Lena in the 1st week of December to ask about our marriage certificate and was told that it hadn't arrived yet. from that point we tried to do follow ups on a weekly basis as time was getting close for us to leave South Africa. This is where the problems started. We would try to call Lena in office hours ,either by cell or whatsapp. Lena didn't answer or call back. we would send whatsapp messages, she would read them but no reply. when we finally got to speak to her on a Wednesday, she said there was a family crisis and she would be in the office on Monday. Monday came and went. We called and called on Tuesday and finally got to speak to her and we were told still not arrived. we had to fly out without our marriage certificate. we got a friend to call in and see her . she told him that there was a package coming from Pretoria but didn't know if our certificate was in it. then he went again and she told him that our pastor who married us didn't register us at home affairs Pretoria an that we needed to fill in some more forms This was a total lie. we needed our marriage certificate for immigration . we found another company that got us our certificate in three days. They told us she was talking ******* and that you can get your unabridged marriage certificate, printed at branch level from any local home affairs office. this woman has cost us a lot of time, stress and extra money. we asked for our money back and she refuses. I strongly recommend that you stay well clear of this so called business woman and get your documents elsewhere.
