Very NOT Easy Move

Shocking experience, the things nightmares are made of. Zero Company Ethics, Zero Customer centric!!! We had to pay R 5635.00 for a shuttle that remained parked outside our home the entire time the main truck was packed - we were told it transported the 3 additional workers to our home - less than 5km from the depot. This was the beginning of the Horror - The truck was broken into in transit between Port Shepstone and Kokstad, an area known amongst truckers for theft in transit under cover of darkness - boxes and items thrown from the back doors. This could have been avoided. When the truck arrived at our destination, NOT ONE of the boxes remaining were labelled, not one item of furniture had a label - this is standard process for reputable moving companies. In essence, they could not tell us how many boxes and items were packed, and how many arrived. We were given 2 weeks to let them know of losses. This was done. We also had to let their assessor have photos of replacement items with values - we sent as much as humanly possible, considering we've been married for more than 30 years and are both extremely sentimental. (some items we had inherited from our late parents - priceless!!! ) After long deliberations, many emails and messages back and forth, we were told the items listed were not on the inventory - of course they weren't, they were all in boxes. We've moved 3 times prior to this, using reputable companies and we've never had to list items in boxes. Eezi Move had packed some boxes, they could not provide us with a list of the inventory of those boxes - yet we were expected to have a list of items we had packed. On the actual inventory list were two lounge suites. We lost seat and back cushions off both - these were also not covered - apparently in their minds a lounge suite doesn't come with seat and back cushions. Their insurance company, All About, underwritten by Bryte, stated that our theft in transit is not covered in their policy - Be very careful when using EeziMove - no customer care once they have your money!!! Procedures were not followed and they take NO responsibilty!
