Very disappointing experience – I would not recommend Eezi Move

I moved from Pretoria to Cape Town with Eezi Move and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Because I was initially renting a small apartment in Cape Town before moving into my house, I could not take all of my belongings out of storage at once. I specifically requested that 50% of my goods be booked out of storage. Despite this, I was charged the full amount, effectively being charged for 100% of the goods. Although I was extremely disappointed, I paid the amount because I urgently needed my furniture. Unfortunately, things got even worse when the goods were delivered. A significant amount of my glassware and several picture frames were damaged. These were my personal belongings and some had sentimental value.

I immediately raised my concerns with Eezi Move and sent an email regarding the damage, but my complaint was simply ignored. I received no meaningful response and no compensation for the damaged items. For me, this is not only about the money. It is about the lack of accountability and customer service after I had entrusted a professional moving company with my belongings. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Eezi Move. If you are considering using them, I strongly recommend that you carefully check exactly what you are being charged for when goods are released from storage and make sure you understand their liability for damage before proceeding. Very disappointing service from a company I expected to handle my belongings professionally.
