Pathetic experience, I do not recommend this moving company

I highly do NOT recommend this company. I started researching moving companies and getting a quote for my move last year. I decided to get a few quotes and went with the cheapest one, which was Eezi Move. Heinrich, who is a consultant, came out and did took inventory of everything that needed to be moved. He then gave me a quote and I was quite surprised at how few boxes he had estimated since other moving companies had estimated almost double the amount. I shared my concern with Heinrich and he assured me that his estimations are always correct, if not an over estimate of what is needed. I assumed they are professional and other companies were over estimating and over charging. The first problem started on the moving day. I have a large 4 bedroom house that I am moving out of. I was told that the packers will arrive at 3pm. I was quite surprised at such a late time since other moving companies had estimated I would need 1 to 2 full days of packing and moving. I expressed my concern once again to Heinrich to which I was once again reassured that the packers will be able to complete ALL of my packing within a few hours and will not leave my house until everything was packed. The packers arrived late (3.30pm). I took a walk through of the house with the packers and showed them that absolutely everything needs to be packed, to which they seem surprised. However I was reassured myself that it is a professional company that I have literally paid 10’s of thousands to, and therefore they will know what they are doing. After 4 hours of packing I was told that all the boxes that they had brought with them were finished and they could not pack any further. So far they had ONLY packed the kitchen and 1 bedroom. I was shocked and called Heinrich. He kept on repeating that he too was surprised, no apology or solution. I am now sitting at 7pm, with ALL quoted and paid for boxes been used and NOT EVEN half of my house packed. Here’s the shocker!!! Heinrich then told me that I will now have to pay for more boxes, which they will NOT pack, since they are done with the time they thought it would take to pack the house AND I will need to move those boxes myself because they will not fit on the truck they have allocated!!!!!!! I was filled with regret for not paying a little bit more to another company and not being in such a big mess. Why would I have hired an entire moving company and literally paid 10s of thousand for them to pack and move half my house and me having to pack and move the rest??? Heinrich also told me it’s after hours and not to call him but instead call the office. I ended up pay a few more THOUSANDS of rands for more boxes. The next morning I managed to contact Heinrich’s manager. He assured me that he will sort the matter out. He said he would send more packers and another truck and that I should not panic or stress. I felt a lot better after speaking to him (I forget his name). The packers arrived at 8.30am. They started packing frantically and literally THROWING things into boxes. To a point where I had to handle things myself and ask my domestic helpers to assist because of how badly they were packing. The packers also told me several times that they expect a tip if I want them to do a good job. Eventually after my last few belonging were tossed and shoved into boxes so that the packers could get done, they moved items into my new apartment. They unpacked ONLY kitchen item, no other boxes were unpacked. After opening my boxes over the next few days I was appalled at how badly things were packed. I contacted Heinrich several times over email explaining to him my sheer disappointment in the entire experience. He kept on reiterating that the boxes he quoted me on me on was merely an estimation and not a guarantee. I do not understand how a moving company can quote you on 60 boxes and then make you pay for another 30. That is not a small error. I do understand that only an estimation can be done, but I expect the estimation to be a lot close to 60 boxes. All in all Heinrich did not want to take any blame. So if anyone plans on using this company please know that if they quote you on something, once they are moving you the quote will literally double due to the consultants poor estimation skills and you will have absolutely no option but to pay it or be stranded mid move. I’ve also emailed Heinrich several times asking him to get management and customer service to contact me. Up until now I have not received a call from anyone. I strongly advise anyone to please rather use another moving company. I had all the emails for proof of the above, kindly contact me if you wish to see them or know further details.
