Horrible experience

We took my brother there 20/08/2023 as he has had a mental breakdown and he is 16 years old and he is being treated really horrible he has been put between grown men in the mental ward and his food is being taken from him by the other patients which means he is not eating at all and he needs to take medication on a empty stomach.

They sedate him every single chance they get his hand is swollen up, His back is sore and has scratches and it looks like he is getting worse then what he looked like when he went it there he is so afraid of the security as they hurt him there as well and even the doctor eventually said as he is 16 he should not be laying between the grown men and there is gangsters laying there as well he says they hurt him but nothing is happening last night which was 24/08/2023 we were there and another patients hit him full in his face his nose bled instantly and for no reason.

My brother is supposed to be getting the help there that he needs he shouldn't be getting more abuse cause that is the reason why he went there in the first place is cause he was abused at school since grade 1 and up until this day he even told me it is worse there at the hospital then anything he has gone through on school we really need help to him transferred to Tygerberg Hospital.

We are worried about his safety it is not like they care there at that hospital an it is sad seeing him look the way he does.

He is so scared of everybody there it's not even funny please we need him out of EERSTE RIVER HOSPITAL AS A MATTER OF URGENCY.

My father had to wash him off outside with cold water and he has been there since Sunday evening 20/08/2023 and my father could only wipe him off yesterday 24/08/2023 and my father saw marks on his body. We have been trying to lay a complaint but nobody is taking our complaint my brother and are afraid for his life please SOMEONE HELP!!
