EDREAMS membership *******

I did a flight booking through Edreams in December 2025. I received a confirmation email of the booking. At no point during the booking process did I tick any boxes confirming I was signing up for their membership club nor agreeing to being debited a membership fee.However after noticing TWO debit orders for R229, one for December and one for January and spending over 90 minutes to their Cape Town Telkom number i was really exasperated and infuriated. I then phoned a Johannesburg telkom number today and was able to cancel the membership, but was informed that at THE END of my booking confirmation email, I was informed that I was going to be debited with this R229 per month membership fee!!
