Unauthorised Debit

UNAUTHORIZED DEBIT - eDreams took R425 without my consent

I am writing this review to warn other South Africans about eDreams.

Early September 2026 I was searching for flights on eDreams. I saw an option to FREEZE the price for R20, which I paid using my card. I did NOT subscribe to anything and I did NOT authorize any further payments.

To my shock, eDreams then debited R425 from my account WITHOUT my permission. I never agreed to any subscription or Prime membership. This is completely unauthorized and feels like a ****.

I tried to contact them but there is no proper help. I want my R425 refunded immediately and my card details removed from their system.

I never completed any flight booking with them — I only paid R20 to freeze a price. Taking R425 afterwards is theft.

I am very disappointed and will be reporting this to my bank as a ********** transaction and to the relevant consumer protection authorities if I am not refunded
