To whom it may concern

We booked a return flight from Johannesburg, South Africa to Lusaka, Zambia for the 27th June 2024 with SAA. When I wanted to do our check-in 24 hours prior to our flight I discovered that the airways cancelled our flight and rebooked a flight 24 hours later. I could not move my booking due to pressing matters that I have to attend to on that specific date in Lusaka.

I emailed the airlines. I phoned the airlines. It is then when I started to talk to eDreams. Sales people from eDreams UK started to phone me. They said they cancelled all our n flights from Lusaka to Jhb on the 22 July 2024 as well. They didn’t give any explanation on why they also had to cancel our return flight.

They sent me an email to ‘confirm’ the cancellation of all of our flights. Please see attachment. It is now more than two months and not a word of feedback or any repayment of our cost of our cancelled flights.

We had to re-book with another airway and had to spend extra money unplanned.

On top of it all on my bank statement I also discovered that ‘eDreams Barcelona’ subtracted R 2663.53 from my account extra on top of the money for the flights. For what? I don’t know.

All my tickets were booked initially on the SAA website where my communication was hijacked to the eDreams site. Is SAA aware of this?

When you go onto the eDreams website and social media it is flooded with complaints. Hellopeter was an eye-opener with the thousands of stories just like mine.
