eDreams took our R47K & we lost our London trip

We booked a trip to London a few months ago through a travel agency online called eDreams We booked & paid for Flexible flights as we weren’t sure if our visas would be on time. (We have documentation confirming our flexible flight purchase sent from eDreams) Our visas were not on time & we needed to change our flights

eDreams included this option when booking our flights but refused to assist us in changing these flights when requested. They said there weren't any flights available for the next 3 months! When contacting the 2 carrier airline, both FlySAFair & Virgin confirmed that there were in fact several flights available daily; but eDreams had booked flights that COULD NOT be changed. eDreams said they had contacted the airlines which was a blatant lie too! We paid for a service we were unable to access. They simply disregarded any means of assisting us, not to mention how outrageously rude the male consultants were!!!!! eDreams is based in India (even though one calls a JHB landline number which is then rerouted) & approaching them legally will be a mammoth task.

We lost R46 513.99 along with the absolute devastation & disappointment of our 5 & 3 year old!

The scary thing is that there are so many stories regarding eDreams where they charge clients for one thing a offer another...

Many people save up a life time for an international trip - only to have a lawless company take your money with zero consequence...as they know they are untouchable!
