Avoid eDreams: Only 50% refund after 3 months of waiting

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with eDreams. I booked flights in December 2025 totaling R9,942.16. After the flights were canceled, I began the refund process in January 2026. eDreams was no help at all in canceling the bookings, claiming that the airlines were not responding. I ended up having to contact the airlines myself to cancel the bookings.

It has taken over three months of chasing customer support to finally receive a refund, only to find they have returned R5,151.83—nearly R4,800 less than the original booking price. There is no transparency regarding why almost 50% of the cost was withheld, especially considering the cancellation was not on my end.

The customer service is unhelpful, making it nearly impossible to dispute these hidden costs. If you value your money and your peace of mind, book directly with the airline. I will never use this platform again.
