Edge property rentals

<div>I have had the worst experience with Edge property rentals. According to them it is the lessee’s responsibility to maintain a rental unit. My agreement with them stated that the owner is responsible for painting the unit and repairing any wear and tear, but without providing me with any information, they deposited half my deposit in my account. When i made a query as to why i am receiving half, they told me painting amounted to R4.6k and cleaning the stove hob was R360, which i do not understand. There was nothing broken or damaged of which i would understand my having to make payment for such. But i fail to understand how i had to chase them to provide me with details regarding my deposit and also chase them to find out what it is my deposit was used for, i had received no notification of the difference in the deposit. I do not understand how the agency with the owner do not want to contribute towards the units maintenance. This is ****************! Never use Edge property rentals as an agent!</div>
