The absolute worst gym in Port Elizabeth.

If I could give the club in Linton Grange, PE a lower rating than 1 star I would.

Firstly, I Signed up in September 2022 together with my Fiancé & friend, friend & I were new to the gym & obviously anxious because we’re bigger girls so it was intimidating. My Fiancè however is a fitness fanatic so he helped us find our feet by working out with us & helping us with form etc.

One of the employees (white lady, really buff, has tattoos) approached us whilst doing a mini circuit in the room where they hold class sessions (we were doing a bit of cardio after the class had taken place and the room was free) & didn’t greet but proceeded to ask my Fiancè’s name, threaten him that he isn’t allowed to hold classes in the room & that she would see to it that he gets banned, it was literally just the 3 of us and he was doing his own work out whilst we were doing our own thing & him occasionally helping us out when he noticed we were doing something incorrectly. He tried to explain this to her but she was so rude & stubborn, continued to say that the gym has cameras (like *** is that supposed to mean?) She made every visit to that gym unpleasant by hovering over us & giving us ugly looks when she was on duty. So many other members that we got to know & spoke to whilst at the gym also felt like they were under surveillance by this woman. She is just a horrible human being.

Secondly, the place flooded early in 2023 & it then had this mouldy smell that was never taken care of, they never opened windows and air-cons never worked. The water fountain broke and wasn’t replaced for months.

That place gave a very ****** & unwelcoming vibe.

I stopped going & just continued to allow the debit to go off every month until I had enough to pay off the remainder of the contract for both my Fiancè & I.

That place will NEVER see me again & I will NEVER recommend that any person go to edge in Linton Grange.
