OUTRAGED!!

<p>After signing up with Edge Gym in Gonubie in December 2016 I decided their staff were perverted and ill mannoured, often swearing in front of clients. I proceeded to cancel my contract with them a month later, at which point I had not yet been debited. I then got no feedback from anyone at the gym whatsoever. I then saw at the end of the month of February, over R200 was debitted from my bank account, so I phoned to complain, at which point I was told I would be recieving an email shortly. The email told me that I basically have 4 options to cancel my contract, which were as follows, AT NO POINT DURING SIGN UP WAS I TOLD I WOULD BE REQUIRED TO PAY A 40% CANCELLATION FEE ON THE REMAINING AMOUNT FOR THE DURATION OF MY CONTRACT!!</p> <p> </p> <p>1. If you are experiencing a service related issue, we would like to schedule an appointment for our GPTA to meet with you for an assessment.</p> <p> </p> <p>2. Pay cancellation fee as calculated below which is 40% of the remaining value of the contract.</p> <p> </p> <p>3. transfer the contract to someone you may know who would like to join Edge Fitness, the transfer fee is R500 and the new member will then take over your existing contract and excuse you from liability.</p> <p> </p> <p>4. Send two referrals to Edge Fitness, provided each join on a new membership and the contract is signed and completed, we will cancel your contract at no cost.</p>
