NEVER SIGN UP FOR THE EDGE FITNESS CLUBS (unless you want it for life)

<p>I signed up for a year, as a cultural exchange student (I can only stay in the country for a maximum of 2 years), I told the Membership Advisor that I may need to move to a new host family within the year. She guaranteed me a cancellation as long as I am 30 miles from the gym and call within 30 day notice period. I am now told that none of my documents (which are recognized by government and embassy's) are not proof or the type required to cancel the membership, and that collectors will be visiting me since my bank account will no longer be active. The Edge and ABC Financial did not apologize and simply left it saying I will not be able to cancel, even though all the membership agreement states is "You may cancel this contract if you relocate your residence more than 15 miles from any health club operated by the seller...". Disgusting gym, I hope no one else ever gets ****med by these money hungry ***s. Complaints on Facebook and Hello Peter all show the SAME problem. Once you've signed up, you can't get out. Once your contract is DONE they sign you up AGAIN. No help from management or ABC Financial.</p>
