Edge fitness dishonesty and disloyalty towards its clients

I joined a 3 year contract with edge fitness in Linton Grange, during lock down when the gym was closed they still deducted money even though I didn't have access to the gym whereas virgin Active froze it's members profiles edge continued to deduct, i requested them to freeze my membership as i was pregnant as i cannot go to the gym they said they could only freeze it for 3months then extended those 3months to my contract I said but a woman is pregnant for 9months what happens in the regard of me not exercising before my pregnancy now I'm forced to pay for something I cant use they just had nothing to say... I signed a contract which stated R199 per month with a price freeze. This month R220 goes off i call them they said its covid increase what the hell is covid increase so I ask them so me signing on the line saying you will freeze the price what does that mean to you nothing I signed up for a deal which was supposed to remain a certain amount. I then request a cancelation they tell me I'm liable for 40% of my owning I'm like fine I'll pay 175 as I only have two more debits left September n October then I'm done with you people... Unfortunately because you only have two premiums you have to pay R517 to cancel... What does that mean even I owe R400 (current amount 220+220=440) why am I liable for 517 ??? This makes no sense... To me this is ****************... Theses people are taking the struggling working class for a joke? What do they think we are rich? I'm a single mother of two with one salary. I called the club manager her name was Rene I asked her what is this dude speaking I explained my story she agreed with me that according to my contract to cancel we only pay 40% of your owning she has never heard of 517 what is that even....I think that's the reason they are losing so many clients they are so dishonest and disloyal towards their customers.... I would rather pay virgin Active my money because I know they have standards
