Worst, poorest and most pathetic service ever
I've been in contact with Edgars since 24th of February 2019. I approached Edgars explaining that I've been unemployed for the last 12 months however I have been approached by a company now and I've been made an offer to start employment on the 1st of March 2019.
I explained to the consultant that assisted me that the new employer would require arrangements in writing.
the consultant assisted me and assured me that the document will be sent through to me later that day.
I called in later that day explaining that I have not received the email and the consultant on the other end explain to me that there was no notes made on the system requesting such document.
25th of February 2019, I called Edgars again. I had to explain my story once again to a different consultant, who had to help me make arrangements once again, and again I was told Id receive the document later that day. to my surprise I have not received anything.
on the 26th of February 2019, I had to call Edgars once again, and again I was told, the arrangement has been made however, no note on the system requesting for the document. I phoned Edgars numerous times and spoke to different agents supervisors and managers. everytime I phoned in I had to explain my story over and over again.
the next day I phoned Edgars Again. once again I had to explain my story over and over to different agents and Consultants. I spoke to supervisors, namely Miss Shabalala, Miss Naidoo, Both these supervisors or managers as they say, refused to help me. they told me I was dealing with the wrong department and that there was no note on the system indicating I requested such document. they finally decided to make me a promise, stating that they will escalate it to the relevant department and I'd receive the document later that day. They were rude.
the next day I had to call again because I've not received any call or email. now I was getting frustrated, reason being, every time I phoned in I had to explain my situation. eventually I spoke to head of collections department Mr Mudau, who sent me an email with a breakdown of my request, he gave me his direct number and told me I can call him at any time should I need assistance. I sent the email to my new employer, who rejected it as it has to be on a letterhead, with the breakdown explaining my current balance and arrangements.
the new employer sent me an email stating that my application will be put on hold.
I lost out on a month's work, simply because Edgars refuses to draught me a letter stating that I have made arrangements with them in order for me to start employment.
now this has been going on for some time now, I've been calling in everyday using my cell phone and every day I've been **** to by Consultants, supervisors and managers stating that they will get back to me.
so where is TCF treating the customer fairly? why is it that other service providers who make an acceptance for the client's in certain circumstances yet Edgars special Edgars refuses to do so.
what is the use of the recorded lines, if agents on the other end of the line does not make notes of the full conversation they have with the client and every time the client phones in they look like *****.
I am really very disappointed in the manner Edgars has handle this case I feel I cannot trust them because I have spoken to numerous employees of which some of these employees even bragged to me that they are head of department and they will sort it out.
on the 4th of March 2019, I sent Edgars a very very long email explaining my story, up till today I have not received any feedback. instead I had to call in on the 5th of March, again I spoke to a different consultant I had to wait on the line for 25 minutes plus, very nice lady who told me that she will get back to me within the next 15 minutes, still received no call.
so now I ask who do we need to speak to, was it really necessary for me to take this route, could this not been resolved with my first call, is Edgars really that inconsiderate, can the employees be trusted?
myself being a financial advisor, I take the FAIS act very serious, in terms of being fit and proper, and treating the customer fairly, I feel that representatives such as myself and other service providers are being let down if clients lose faith due to poor service and Lies.
I humbly request for Edgars to draught me a letter, stating that I have communicated with them, what my balance is and what arrangements I have put in place.Edgars needs to understand that I am also just human, I have a family to take care of, it's been difficult being unemployed for the last 12 months, I've had vehicles repossessed, had to move in with family. so this job is a big thing for me. I don't mind phoning in everyday speaking to different people, however I do mind speaking to people that is not willing to assist and lie to me and if push comes to shove I'll have to take the matter further, if I'm correct that would be to ombudsman, cause clearly Edgars has no concern for their client's well-being.
