Wont be dealing with any Edcon services again.

After losing my job i missed following months payments, contacted them and made an arrangment to pay a smaller amount till i was working, they sent me deposit details, every month i had been depositing into this account and later getting a letter to say i hadnt made a payment, call them to confirm and they tell me yes you have paid, after three months they handed me over to their debt department and listed me with the credit bureau, even after this completely unfair action i made a plan to pay them. Last month i made a R2000 deposit into the account as i started working again to bring the amount to less than half. Go into the store today and they tell me my account has been cancelled...... Still owe them money and are still listed with the bureau even thou i had spoken to them and made plans they have decided they wont help me further. Spoke to a manager and said i have a medical policy and debt for clothes, Now the amount i have paid for the policy is void and wont be given back to me, i have to pay off the amount and come back to their stores and create a new account?????? Said to her plainly i will pay off the full amount end of the month and wont deal with Edcon services again. Her responce was "Oh, ok" their are other companies that do the same thing, after just the responce from this manager why should i continue to deal with them further?

Oh yes, i was in store said i would like to speak to the manager, this guy at the service desk tells me phone this number... Just would be interesting to know if the in-store management has any authority to talk to you about your account? If yes why was i told to phone?
