Why should I pay if you are at fault?
I requested a settlement figure and bank details in Mid May from Edgars customer services as I am no longer in SA. Nothing was sent through. I followed up with a request through the Edgars website on 29 May which was also ignored. I then received a statement in early June saying I am late with my payment and late fees and interest have been added to my account. How can I pay my account on time if you won't give me a settlement figure and bank details to pay it? So I requested again for a settlement amount and bank details which finally came through from Hlengiwe Cele on 14 June with late fees and interest added. I asked for the late fees to be removed and was told interest and late fees had been app**** as I was overdue on my account. I explained what had happened and even gave ref numbers from 1 of the initial requests. Ntombi Kholi rep**** saying exactly what Hlengiwe said. I again asked them to look into the matter and adjust the settlement amount and now Mbali Nkosi rep**** the same as Hlengiwe.
Edgars... I am now applying a late fee to your accounts department to the value of the interest accrued from mid May and late charges app**** by you to my account...
