Who do the MAC girls think they are??????????

To whom it may concern

We all know how pricey make up can be, I am a bride that is going to get married on the 25th of November this year and I have been told by a few make up artists to provide my own foundation on the day.

Myself and my brides****s hardly wear make up but on the day we will be wearing make up. My first choice was to go with MAC products, the name speaks for itself and even though I do not wear make up I have heard that their products are very good.

On Sunday the 24th September, myself and 2 of my brides****s walked into Edgars in pavilion MAC counter and I explained and asked two of the ladies IF they would be able to assist us in matching the correct foundation.

The response was yes.

We then proceeded with the foundation, this all took a very long time and the store was not as busy as what the ladies were making it out to be. Some were just standing around and avoiding eye contact.

The first brides**** was done and the lady was very helpful but then just left us standing. Then a different lady assisted the second brides**** and the colour was completely off and I said to her that I do not think that is the correct colour can we see what other shades/codes there is that would match her skin tone. The answer was straight out no (completely defeating the purpose) but I left it.

The lady that was assisting us was abrupt and pointed towards a sign that I could not even see saying that they do not do demos on a Sunday and that they need to attend to people that are buying products.

Long story short at the end she gave me such attitude and actually did not even want to do my face or even a swab on my hand to see what colour would suit me best.

Being a bride and along with other stresses of making my day special this was the last thing that I thought would be such a hassle.

Being discriminated against and accused that people that are purchasing products take preference when she did not even know if I was going to purchase or not even though I did not once say that I was not going to purchase. My query going into the store was matching the correct colours in order to purchase so I do not understand why I got treated and spoken to rudely. I was **** to and got told YES they will be able to assist us when I walked in.

This service ended so badly that I remained calm throughout the entire event even after being lectured after asking what products were used on our faces as I noticed there were lotions, sprays, foundations, powder, all different things on each of us and when I asked about the products I did not get taken aside for her to explain I got shouted at in front of everyone. She did not listen to my question and rather ‘schooled’ me and screamed that the 43.5 NC42 and NC40 was all I needed to know.

Still I left with no knowledge of what products were used, not even a vague idea of what the prices are. She waved a price list of ‘demos’ that I can come in and book but by that time I was so humiliated and just wanted to leave. I asked for a brochure on prices on products and demos for me to see and she laughed at me as if I was silly and replies ‘brochures, no we don’t do that’.

I am so disgusted given the fact that I was nervous as I do not know about make up, asked for assistance and got excited when I got told yes they will be able to assist us. I actually left the store crying. To think that all I wanted was to purchase 3 foundations of the correct shade. I have a total of 5 brides****s, this store just lost out on 6 purchases that I wanted to make, and that is excluding the other sprays powders etc.

Is there anything or anyone that can assist me in getting compensated for this terrible experience? Its 2017 and surely the customer should be right, or atleast the ladies should be trained on how to deal with customers. I am not a difficult person and I am very humble and had to sit through this traumatizing ordeal I am so hurt that I actually even want to pay up and close my Edgars account.

Thank you Natalie Hartzenberg ********** 367 ********** **********
