When you don’t look like his target market forget it he won’t serve you
Yesterday I visited Edgars in Brooklyn,Pretoria. I was browsing looking for perfume. I stopped at the Chanel counter and then walked over to the Tom Ford counter. It was at around 13:30 in the afternoon. I was most shocked by the behavior of the man manning the atom Ford counter. I had noticed that Tim Ford had a range of perfumes I had not been exposed to before and as such it caught my attention. As we stood (my friend and I) testing the perfumes the man just stood there and stared at us and not a word came out of his mouth. He looked on at us as though he was waiting for us to move on from the counter. He said nothing absolutely nothing. He did not even greet us . I expected him to greet and ask to take us through the range and assist us in trying out what was obviously our first experience with some of the scents new to us. I felt like he was saying move on from here. Maybe he thought we could not afford it maybe and the sad part is that I was actually there to buy perfume but alas I walked out of Edgar’s and moved on as encouraged by the mans demeanour at the Tom Ford counter. So sad and an atrocious display of service.
