Watch out! Edgars will keep making charges even though the account is paid up

I paid up my mother's Edgars account in the beginning of August. Suddenly, new charges were indicated on the account, and she was told this was because of Edgars Club membership. She requested the cancellation of this membership, which was one hell of a hassle with unanswered phones and emails, and paid the final amount charged. It was confirmed that the Club membership was cancelled. Recently, there has suddenly been another charge to the account. HOW CAN YOU KEEP MAKING CHARGES TO AN ACCOUNT THAT IS NOT BEING USED?? She has no insurance with Edgars, so after cancelling the Club membership, there is nothing that can be charged to the account. She would've jus kept the account open in case but because of all these ghost charges, we want to cancel the account, which from other Hello Peter posts seems like it will be hell. This company keeps trying to find ways to charge you more money. Stay away or close your account ASAP.
