UNAUTHORISED BILLING CHARGES

My dad received a call from an Edgars consultant on Friday the 27th October 2017, on his phone, wanting to speak to me. He advised the consultant the he would get me to return the call. I called the Edgars call centre, with regards to this call and was advised by Lisha that i was owing an amount of R+- 82.00 for mobile content.

This was news to me, as i had closed my Edgars account some time ago and have not had any account statement or phone call from Edgars requesting an outstanding amount. I then enquired how did this amount suddenly get activated in July 2017 without my consent or me signing documents requesting for this mobile content. i was told that i needed to wait for the admin department to contact me and customer cannot contact this admin department. I then called into the Pavilion store on Friday the 27th October 2017, to enquire about this, as I found this be be very ********** charges on my account. The account person tried calling RMCS, but to no avail. as RMCS did not answer their phone. I was given the number and called RMCS on Saturday the 28th October 2017 at 10.45, and spoke to Mphume Pagathi who advised that I have to wait for their admin department to call me. RMCS sounds very unprofessional, as their admin department is never available or you have to wait for their call. I would like to know who is RMCS or who authorised Edgars to give them my details. As my account is held with Edgars and not with RMCS, yet when you want to sort this out, Edgars give you the run around suddenly, passing the buck onto RMCS, but Edgars bills you for this amount.

THe above response is a hoax to shut you up and give you the run around. The above number of ********** goes to a company called Mova Money whereby I spoke to Mashadu, and she said she had no idea what i was talking about, which already was a waste of my time and money on my phone calls. I was then given the number by Mashudu for RMCS and spoke to Tamara Mpangeva, who said that the amount on my account was reversed and that i needed to speak to Edcon accounts, who will be able to help me. My reference number given by Tamara was ********** 313322. I then called the Edgars Accounts department on ********** 442, spoke to Andile who listened to my query, told me that i needed to speak to RMCS as she would not be able to assist me ,as this was a RMCS query. She then put me on hold for quite a while, then cut off. I called back and spoke to Sabrina Rampersad, whom i had to explain the whole situation to again, but it was worth the while, as she took to the time to try to resolve my query. She gave me a reference number from RMCS ********** 318945, which was provided by Nontuthuko from RMCS to Sabrina on my behalf. On my earlier call to RMCS, when I spoke to Tamara, who insisted that reversals were done on my account and my account was back to nil. That was misleading and incorrect, coz on my call to Sabrina, my account still reflected an amount of 26. 13 outstanding. This whole situation with Edgars needs to be looked into very seriously and Edgars customers need to be made more aware of the what they are getting themselves into when dealing with them. The crazy part of all this is that I last used my account in June 2014. Then again in Jan 2015, paid that amount, closed the account and never bought again on my Edgars account. The cellphone number speaks even more, as that number that I am being billed for, has not been in use from 2013. So this entire scenario should speak volumes to whoever reads this or has to go down this road like me.
