Unable to close Edgars account

I have been trying to close my account now for 2 months unsuccessfully. I have been to the store twice. Received confirmation that the application to close was handed in and received twice emails from Edgars to state that they have received all the necessary documentation. Still I receive invoices. If you phone the number provided they refer you back to another department. When trying to give the ID number the computer refuses to accept. Some assistance would be appreciated.
