two stories
I received a birthday gift recently, yesterday. And I don't wish to keep it. It is a coco chanel 50ml perfume. I phoned in edgars gateway and spoke to a permanent coco chanel consultant, but before speaking to him I was put through more than 5 people and was on hold for a while, so when I spoke to him I said I would liike to return it, I do not have a slip but the box has a price sticker which edgars on it. So I'm sure other retailers cant stock it with an edgars tag on. So I said since I'm working almost everyday I would like a gift card, I'll send my husband to return it and get a gift cadr, he said no I must take something from chanel, my husband don't know about perfume and if I keep it longer and go when I'm off it might go on sale. So I thought of phoning the store manager to ask him to help me with a gift card since I can return it, the manager tells me I can't return it at all. So why are there 2 stories. He said I must bring a gift receipt, how can I ask the person for the receipt to return their gift. What I don't understand is it has an edgars tag on so why can't it be returned. I would like a response to my question, and also a solution, by means of a phone call.
