Threat
I have been employed by edcon before and have opened an account about more than a year ago . I was retrenched in this year and could not pay my account as there was no income. Edgars collections have called me many times and even asked that if i could use my unemployement money to pay them which was really a disgrace. I am how ever employed and asked for a arrangement if i could pay them a certain amount each month. The lady who assisted me made a note of me paying a certain amount but yet i stil got calls and emails that is a threat to me i do not know which way now to go because my financial issues have nothing to do with anyone but yet they have called family member.s and discuss my financial problem with them. <br> <br> My contact number is *** i cannot sit and wait a hour for help from your collection department i need to know if i paid account protection act each month what is that there for i really need information as i cannot live with these threats.

It is with great displeasure to hear of the overall experience. Please note the account protection plan was cancelled on the account on the 4th of June as there was no payment for quite some time. After being retrenched you need to claim within a period of 180 days. The application will not be considered because the account protection plan is cancelled and the claim period has lapsed.
Please contact the collections department on ***and make payment arrangement. We have also referred this query to the collections department to address.
