They send me balances that i dont understand, stating that I am owing them whilst I closed my account with them last year October /November

They send me balances that i dont understand, stating that I am owing them whilst I closed my account with them last year October /November. I even said proof of payment last year before requesting that my account should be closed. To my surprise I still get Emails, messages and calls saying that I owe them.
