Terrible customer service from Edgars, as usual!

I received an edgars voucher as an apology for bad customer service regarding the transfer of my Edgars account from Edcon to RCS. Now I get to Edgars in Alberton city and I am told by Emily that I am not allowed to use the apology voucher on sale items. Where is this specified? How is this an apology? As usual Edgars only reaches lower and lower levels of customer service. Absolutely terrible. I am very nearly ready to write Edgars off as a company!
