SURPRISE

To my surprise i found out that Edgars owes me R19000. I phoned them first, then i emailed them and finally i went in to the branch and all of then confirmed this. I was asked by Mirriam Mazibuko to send through a copy of my bank statements and a certified copy of my ID. When phoning today i was told that the account is at a lawyer and the lawyers is the only people that can refund it. My question is why was i told a different story in the first place? Can somebody please help.
