Substandard Guess Jeans

My husband bought a pair of Guess jeans. Once he was sure that they fitted properly, he threw away the receipt. About three weeks after he bought them, and probably wore them 2 or 3 times, they tore (I have a photo) right along the backstitching. This is not possible due to anything he did and can be nothing other than a faulty item. I at first sent Edgars an email to [Email Removed] to which I received no response (that was 17 days ago). I then posted something on their facebook page, to which they responded saying I must return it with the receipt as it must be faulty. When I explained that we do not have the receipt anymore, but that I can show them the transaction on my husband's bank statement as we swiped his card to pay for it, they just failed to respond - that was 12 days ago. So Edgars, as indicated before, I will not go away. Either you at least discuss this with me, or I am now going to refer it to the Consumer Court.
