STILL AS SLACK AS EVER
<p>I used my Edgars account for the first time in 2 years; I used it just to buy clothes as gifts . Pathetic that they want to charge me a monthly admin fee as the interest they can charge has been capped so have to make money another way (this is also levied on 6 month accounts). So, after 36 years with Edgars this will be my final farewell.</p> <p>I emailed the address shown on their website; to make sure that the banking details were still the same and 3 days later this is the error still being received:</p> <p>""................This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification. THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY. YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.</p> <p>Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed:</p> ********** <p>Message will be retried for 0 more day(s)</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>So, some 2 years down the line still pathetic. I reloaded as a beneficiary after findng details on my banking beneficiary list and paid off the account again.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
Please note that the service fee will not be levied to your account without your authorisation. Although it has become necessary to charge a service fee, we have taken the plight of our customers into consideration and discounted this fee to R22.80 per month which equates to R273.60 yearly as opposed to the prescribed maximum fee of R60 allowed per month by the NCA (R720 yearly).

Dear Edcon Customer Experience Team; please read the CONTENT of the review; it focusses on the fact that your email address for your ACCOUNTS department still does not work and in fact does not seem to exist.
The fact that you seem fit to charge clients for the 'privelage' of having an account with you is beside the fact.
How is someone supposed to query details when the email address is invalid.
