So called '6 month interest free account'
When I opened an account at Edgars, I was told that I qualify for the 12 month interest account, as I did not have a credit record as yet. A lady from head office phoned me and told me that Edgars would allow me to have the 6 month interest free account after a few months, as then I would have a proper credit record. That is the reason I opened an account there in the first place. Now, when I asked to switch over, I was told that Edgars no longer allows switching over from the 12 months to the 6 months interest free accounts?! I was basically **** to, and thus I would like to close my Edgars account, as I do not support this behavior.

We would like to apologise for the overall experience. Kindly note we no longer offer 6 month interest free accounts for customers who are already on 12 months. It is a decision that was taken by management after an affordability check was made. We are known to deliver on our promises, however this is a decision that we cannot override.
