Sibusiso has been of great help but I need advise

My mother-in-law, Salome Smith has passed away in a vehicle accident on her way to church on Sunday. According to her Spouse, Mr J Smith she had an Edgars funeral cover. I phoned the Edgars customer care line and discovered that she also had accident cover. I was told that I could log the claim at my nearest Edgars branch. I went to Alberton branch and was assisted by Sibusiso. All the paperwork required for the claim was completed. I need further assistance or advice on the following issue. My mother-in-law was married to Mr JJ Smith for more than 10 years. All her accounts are registered under Smith but her ID and death certificate shows Labuschagne. I went to Home Affairs only to discover that the marriage was never registered. I went to the police station and completed an affidavid explaining the issue. Due to the discrepancy of the surname Sibusiso requested a marriage certificate to complete the claim. Home Affairs can apply for a afterbridge certificate but it will only reach me after 6 months. Mr Smith has borrowed money to cover the expenses for the funeral as it is 21 Aug. What can I do? Can I submit her drivers license which shows Smith? HELP please
