Shocking service by Edgars staff

I am appalled at how Edgars treats it customers. My aunt has been an Edgars account holder for many years. She has always been a impeccable customer and paid her account every month on time. Recently she received a birthday voucher from Edgars which is a very nice gesture from their side, that is until you try to use it. She visited the Edgars store in Eastgate on Thursday 28th March to redeem her voucher and was told by very rude staff at the till that she cannot use it on sale items, beauty items or home ware - only clothes. I went onto the T& C's on the Edgars website and it mentions nothing about not be able to redeem it on these items. She was shunted from pillar to post. In the end the voucher expired and she never even got to use it. This is not the only issue she has had. For months she has not been receiving statements on e-mail. She contacted them numerous times and was again passed from one person to another. One of the staff even told her that she never had an e-mail address on their system - to which she forwarded them the statement she received before. Guess what, she never got an apology. I find it shocking that this is how they treat a 70 year old women who has been a long standing customer with Edgars. She has indicated to me that she is tired of dealing with Edgars and is going to close her account with them. Edgars it time to train your staff properly.
