Shame on you Edgars

I have app**** for an Edgar’s Card in the mid 1980’s and used my card responsibly, never going over my limit and paying every month on time.A few years ago I realized that Edgar’s prices were so inflated and that I cannot afford to buy there anymore so I stopped using my card after it was paid in full. Imagine my surprise this morning when I received a phone call telling me I have been handed over for R117. I informed the young lady I had not used my card for years so how can I owe them anything, she informs me it charges for Service, WHAT SERVICE. Why are they not chasing the people who owe them thousands instead of handing over a pensioner who does not have an extra R117 for Service. I am disgusted with Edgar’s for rewarding an old consistent paid up customer with no black marks against her name. Bells should have rung in my head when my daughter died and I tried to collect the funeral money she had paid in as a club member and assured it would be paid out within days of her death. It took me months of constant visits and complaining but to no avail. It took my husband to go into the store and create a scene for the manager to be finally called that I eventually received the money. What company tries to de***** a dead person out of something she had paid into for years, oh yes EDGARS who chases a pensioner for Service they never received, they are never to be trusted.
