Service = none.

I went to Edgars stores on the 08/11/2020 to close my account, and settled everything 100%, this morning 03/12/2020 still heard nothing from Edgars, so I decided to call and see if I can figure out what's going on. I had the absolute displeasure of speaking to a Gail Mcarel, who has no intention of servicing a customer, and only cares about interrupting them when they are trying to speak to her. When she told me that there is an outstanding balance of R25ish rand on my account, after I settled it on the 08/11/2020, I told her this is not possible, and she should see why it's there, as I got the settlement amount from the store and asked them more than once to ensure that the account is closed. I was promised this will be sorted out within 2 business day's and that I will receive a notification via email. Horrible Gail came back on the line and told me it's interest that was charged after I settled my account, I asked her how they charge interest on a 0 balance, and was given some story (that she was again reading from a script, or practiced so hard that she has to say it over a customer before she forgets it) about how the 6 month interest free option fell away with the takeover and how I was notified about this. This has nothing to do with charging interest on a R0 balance, 100% interest on R0, is still R0. When I asked her if she could please send me an email documenting the escalation of the issue, as well as confirmation that the account was closed, I was told that she "did her job, and if I want to, I can drop the line and speak to a different consultant" - when asking her if I can speak to manager, she told me that there are no managers in their office, then when I said that it is compulsory for them to have a manager on the floor due to FAIS act, I was told that they are all in a meeting. Seems like Gail does this more often that not, and argues with client's about things. Wishing someone who cares can call me back, so I can ensure this matter is sorted.
