Returns/refunds attitude

I recieved a gift from a friend she had purchased at Edgar’s, I went to Edgar’s in eastgate to find out it I could exchange it. Was told it wasn’t a problem at the customer service counter so I asked the value of the item and she scanned it, no problem that was fantastic so I go find something in the store that fits and return to the now long que at customer service... I wait.... and wait.... and wait... finally I’m at the front I get called, approach the counter I was not greeted and looked at like I had crawled out of a hole, I then start explained to this lady now I would like to exchange the item and that I ad spoken to the lady right next to her earlier, she looks at the items and calls the lady behind her who then tells me they can’t exchange the items there because they were bought at Edgar’s active I then respond saying but I came in here earlier and was told it’s fine, she then throws head in her hands and sighs a huge sigh and says let me explain to you we not the same shop ? I have never in all my life been treated like that in any store... it is disgusting to say the least that staff don’t know then on top of that treat you like dirt... I personally don’t think I will be going purchasing anything from them for quite some time... purchase else where
