Retrenchment Insurance claims
I was informed that I was being retrenched on 13 July 2020, I got 1 months notice and my last day of work was on 13 August 2020. I was still able to make payment on my account for the month of August. I took in all my paperwork to Edgars in Blue Route mall end of August, UI-19 form, retrenchment letter. I was contacted twice as Edgars does not want to accept my letters as something is always wrong with it. I have had my Edgars account for over 15 years and have never been late on payment and now that I need them to sort out my insurance it is a constant back and forth. I keep calling and will get another number to call and you just never seem to get through to any of the numbers. I have an RCS and woolworths account and all my paperwork was accepted without any questions. First Edgars said they cant accept because there was no stamp and I advised that my company does not have a stamp, they then said that it cant be accepted because my last day of work was not on the retrenchment letter even though the dates are clearly stated on the top. Edgars must have the worst service when it comes to claims as this has happened to me in the past. I am now getting phone calls saying that I need to make payment even though I am unemployed. I really need some help as I cant be driving to a mall everytime to find out what is happening and calling numbers that never get answered
