Rethink your Edgars hospital plan or any if its administered IUA
Having had my account for many years, this may now be the final straw. Edgars financial services has been taking a policy fees each month for the last 6 years. Edgars has changed their claims administration company to IUA who have in turn increased the requirements for claims to include a hospital file, a diagnostic report, six months medical aid records, as well as personal medical attendants reports - something not asked for or stated in any of their documents - even on the Hollard website. Even when calling Edgars you are told otherwise. IUA sent me an email asking me for 5 copies of my ID without reading my claim form to understand that I am the insured and claimant. When I did call them to query they said that I was not covered by them. Eventually, when I spoke to them, they indicate that the documents were mandatory and had to be furnished at the clients cost.
