removal from itc
I have spoken and mailed my concern to numerous Edgars branches and called them for months without getting results.I was listed and handed over to lawyers last year and I then paid my account R300'weekly as of June till November 2015, I got a letter that the account has been paid up and my name will be removed on itc. 8 months later and I'm still told my Edgars account is still in arrears..i don't know what to do any more as this is affecting my credit profile negatively

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Please note the Payment Profile Records at the Credit Bureau are updated on a monthly basis to reflect a factual Credit History of the account over the past 24 months, therefore we cannot change or remove any records from the Credit Bureau.
As per the above statement, if you have a bad record for 24 months and then you pay up the account, after 6 months you will see that the 6 months have been updated as well as the remaining 18 months.
Your credit profile will reflect that the account is paid up and closed. However, the listing will be removed after 2 years.
We apologise for the overall experience.
Your reference number is: ***/GO
