Publicly Humiliated

Last night I was at the Greenacres shopping centre in Port Elizabeth. When I walked into Edgars I forewarned the security guard that something in my handbag seems to be setting off the security scanner when I walked into Woolies earlier. Anyways he was fine about it and nothing went off when I walked in. When it came to me leaving the scanner started beeping as I walked out and the other security guard wanted to know what's in my handbag. So on the floor I sat taking out my stuff out of my handbag in front of these male security guards to discover it was make-up I'd bought there a week back for which they failed to remove the barcode. I felt like an absolute ******** when I was then asked where the receipt was and I told him probably at home. Another security guard who knows me very well there told him no it's not me it's Edgars who never took off the barcode. I was so publicly humiliated and embarrassed being made out to feel like a ******** for something they did wrong.
