On Thursday 09 July 2015 I bought a guess jean on account with a price tag of R699 and when i got home the receipt had R799 and when i brought this to the manager's attention ( on Friday 10 July 2015) she told me there was nothing she could do even though the price tag had R699 the bar code when they scan was giving R799, i had to pay R799 . My understanding is you pay the price displayed not the scanned price. I felt ******.<br> May someone else explain how does this work in Edgars?

Thank you for raising your apprehensions with us. Please be advised we have liaised with the store manager and it was discovered that the price was tempered with, as all the jeans had the R799.00 sticker on them. We do abide by the CPA, however, all the jeans had a mark-up price thus the store couldn't authorise the transaction of R699.00. We apologise for the overall service experience, but we assure you measures will be taken to avoid the re-occurrence of this nature.
