Poor service from Edgars

I bought leggings on Wednesday during my lunch and I was late already. Upon opening the plastic I realized that the cashier did not give me the till slip. I couldn't go back because it is few km's away and I was leaving for MP. When I returned, I went to return the legging as it was not fitting properly. They refused to give back my money, they told me that they can only give me a gift card. I told them that if I lost a till slip I was going to accept it but it was not my mistake they must check who was working on the till on that day. The manager told me that it will take time to do that and she's not promising anything. I didn't like to attitude and she pretended as if they can't check their staff who was working on the day. Poor service.
