<p>I refer to my complaint (your reference nr ********** 486/GO).</p> <p> </p> <p>I understand that once I've signed the service fee it cannot be reversed. Please be so kind as to explain to me what I was supposed to do when the piece of paper was FORCED upon me & the staff COULD NOT explain to me what it was for!!!! This is my QUESTION NR 1.</p> <p> </p> <p>I refer to your paragraph nr 3 : "As noted within the letter , your consent will be required when next purchasing in store and should you wish to decline the implementation of the service fee, Edcon reserves the right to action your account accordingly." QUESTION NR 2 - Please advise what consent will be required with my next purchase & how this affects the service fee?</p> <p> </p> <p>QUESTION NR 3 : Why does EDCON ONLY respond to complaints if logged on HelloPeter? Messages to Edcon's email address does not get ANY response.</p> <p> </p> <p>I look forward to your reply on ALL 3 QUESTIONS.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
Please be advised as a valued customer you should have raised your concerns and app**** your rights as a consumer , in addition when signing any legal document it is your responsibility to read and understand the document before adding your signature.
Please be advised this was the communication sent out to customer before they were requested to agree/decline the service fee, This communication was sent to all Edcon customer informing them about the service fee hence when they would visit the store they would know what they were signing for even if they were misled at the till point.
We must apologise for not receiving any feedback sooner however this was already raised with the accounts department on initial post. If you need to speak to us please contact our account department on ***.
Kind regards,

Best regards,
As a 'VALUED' Customer I'm shocked about the way my complaint is treated.
The fact that Edgars does not take responsibility for their staff not properly informed is absolutely unacceptable! Maybe Edgars should be more open towards their Customers & not hide any changes to agreements in fine print.
Please advise how communication was sent out to Customers as the general complaint from Edgars Staff is that they were not properly informed about this new agreement. I for one never received an email nor sms in this regard. It's concerning that these things are hidden in fine print as there is more than enough space available on accounts to put this change in a decent font same as the balance owing for example.
And to conclude, none of my questions were answered directly as in the previous posts. Thank you for the opportunity to experience the treatment as a 'VALUED' customer ....
