Pathetic Service...They just dont care!

On 20 and 21 August 2016 Edgars had a special running (buy1get1free) on their Levi's Jeans. Seeing that I stay in Lambert'sbay, I phoned the Vredenburg Mall branch, which is the nearest Edgars outlet to us (a 160km drive) to find out whether they have 2x nr 42's in stock. They didn't have in stock but the lady found 2 of them at another branch. She told me that I had to pay for the jeans before the special ends. So, I drove the 160km to Vredenburg to pay. I was told my order will be there within a week. A week later I phoned...nothing. I phoned again (2 weeks later)...still nothing. I actually went there twice (160km x 4) and made another phone call as well...and STILL my jeans (which I have paid for in cash), is not there. Everytime they asked for my cellphone nr.

I am extremely frustrated and irritated with this. Firstly I was told it would take a week. Then I was told it normally takes 2 weeks. It is now a month and a week later...and I haven't received ONE phonecall from them. What the hell? I spend on average R1500 per month (cash) at Edgars, but I suppose it will change after this episode. I don't want my money back...I want what I ordered. This is not the first time I have an issue when ordering something from Edgars. About a year ago I ordered ***L "BEAR" underwear...and up till today I haven't heard from anyone. Pathetic if you ask me.

I received a call from the Manageress on 30 September 2016 at 11h45 regarding abovementioned issue. Honestly, it would've been better if she did NOT call. I'm not even sure if she read my letter of complaint. Firstly, she said she can't find any size 42's, but instead offered 2 x size 40's (really???). Then she said she "can't find ANY of my information on their system"...and that meant "the jeans had never been ordered" in the first place (really???). She then said the lady that handle the order is on leave and she'll only be back next week. So, everything must be put on hold if your employee is on leave? She was making all kinds of lame excuses instead of apologizing or trying to solve the issue. She didn't even know that I've already paid for the garments. While speaking, I was continuously interupted by her. As a businessman, I would've prepared myself before addressing a complaint from a client. I am NOT a difficult customer....never was, but this is rediculous. I don't want her to phone me again, please. Let someone who actually cares and WANT to solve this problem handle this.
Thank you.
Regards
Piet Bernardo
