Pathetic Customer Service

I recently purchased a Soviet watch from your Edgars Branch. I gave the watch to a friend as a gift only to find out the battery was dead. My friend then took the watch & had battery changed at a reputable jewelry store and the watch still didn't work. I took the watch back to Edgars centurion and explain what happened to a sales assistant who then called an Assistant Sales Manager. At that point I said all I want is a replacement watch or a refund. This manager was rude, said he needs to send the watch in for repairs and will not replace it. I was upset and refused to accept that and tried to explain to the manager that the gift hasn't even been worn, it was only purchased on the 13.08 needs repairs. To my surprise this manager at this point just stormed away leaving me standing there with the assistant. Edgars being a reputable store customers service stinks. I was shocked and so were all my colleagues standing there with me. For all I'm concerned this man is not fit to be a manager if he can't deal with customers. He's behavior was unacceptably and uncalled for. All I wanted was to give a gift, now I need to go back to the nd say the gift I gave you is in 4 repairs
