Overcharge on account still not reversed 15 days after lodging a complaint

I purchased 2 items from edgars.co.za during their Black Friday sale on 25 November. I paid using my ThankU card and only after making payment noticed that I'd been overcharged on one of the items (Nike Benassi Sandals). The sale price at the time was R244.97 but my account was charged the full normal price of R349.95.

I spoke to their social media team via Facebook Messenger and was advised to call the customer service number and lodge a complaint telephonically. I did so on 28 November 2016 at around 1:30PM and was advised that the reversal of the overcharge would take place by 2 December 2016 as the accounts department only processes reversals on Fridays. The reference number received for this complaint was ********** 329/GO.

I checked my account balance on 9 December to see if anything had been done and it still looked the same. So I emailed the Customer Service department as well as the Accounts department. As of today (13 December) I still haven't received a single reply.

It has now been 15 days since. I received a statement of account yesterday (12 December 2016) which didn't reflect any reversal on my account. The purchase total for the transaction in question also didn't change. So obviously nothing was done to resolve the issue. Plus, to add insult to injury here, you've also had no issue charging me interest on the overcharged amount as well - which is utterly pathetic!

I'm a new account holder with Edgars (only have had this account for about a month or two). I have no reservations about paying this account off completely and terminating it. You people obviously don't want to take your clients seriously, even those who open accounts with you and are willing to be loyal to your brand.

If feedback isn't received soon and this issue isn't resolved ASAP then you would have lost a customer forever - you're not the only chain store retailer out there and I'm not willing to support scullduggery. Nor am I into the idea of being ignored when I am paying you people for a service (that nifty account fee obviously is inclusive of handling any possible disputes - which you haven't done).

I am in the right frame of mind here to submit this to the Consumer Protector and NCR for further review - this is ********* business practice.

Still no reply a day later. Typical for Edgars I guess.
