Out of stock on first day of special
Wanted to buy the Verssed W1 phone for the advertised price of R299, but the phone was sold out and the sales consultant mentioned that nobody in the western cape has stock. This was the first day of the 3day special. Why does Edgars still advertise if it's sold out? At least place a sold out sign or sticker over your adverti*****ts! I'm currently dealing with a cellphone insurance claim from Edgars (for the past 4 months!) and I'm sick of the pathetic service I'm receiving! This December I will use my bonus to settle and close my Edgar's account. Enough is enough!

We would like to confirm receipt of your notice confirming stock shortage on our Black Friday promotion.
Please be advised that we are selling seasonal products and most of the time items are not sold out during production. Stock that is left unsold will be on a promotional scale making space for new arrivals.
Therefore we will run out of the stock for many products within a few minutes (and in some cases, seconds) of the sale going live. For example, most of our special deals items (Cellphones & Tablets ) were sold out as soon as they went live. We had ensured availability, in all participate stores from few units for various products, but it was nowhere near the actual demand. In addition we would like to thank you for your recommendation in regards to placing a sold out sticker on items that are no longer available.
NB: Kindly note that promotional items cannot be moved from one store to another.
