Opening of new account - 50% off
on Saturday I visited the shoe store at Lakeside mall. on reading the advert of 50% off 1st purchase, I enquired with the supervisor/manager (I think).<br> advised them that I would like to open an account and qualify for the 50% off first purchase.<br> was advised that I could open an account for the shoe store, and needed 3 months bank statement.<br> this was at 3pm and all banks were closed, tried to get a 3 months statement from the ATM with no joy.<br> went home and e-mailed the 3 months bank statement.<br> went back Sunday morning to open the account and do my purchase, only to be then told that I already have an edgars card and cannot qualify for another card, and neither can I get the 50% discount.<br> unnecessary delays, if this was just communicated properly.
We sincerely apologise for the misinformation, but the promotion was for New Account holders. Customers can only have one account as the card can be used in all Edcon group stores. The store manager was notified of the lapse in service and we assure you corrective measures will be taken to avoid the re-occurrence of this nature.
