Not keeping up to adverts

I attended Gateway Edgars yesterday for the buy one, get one free special on kelso tops.The message I received stated just that, special on kelso tops.Nothing was said about selected items.even so whilst browsing I asked one of the workers if the special pertains to all the kelso tops,she said yes.So I went on to spend 30 minutes finding my tops, waited 15 minutes in the queue and when the cashier scanned the items, he said the tops that I selected are not on special.I showed her the sms,so she then called another employee who called the edgars head office and was told by that person that the tops I had chosen were not on special despite it being KELSO tops.I wasted over an hour at the store.And this morning again I receive an email advertising the KELSO tops again. I am very disappointed. If you view my edgars account I do a lot of shopping at edgars. I will think twice about attending these specials next time.I still believe that the tops were on special, and the staff should have ensured the customer got what was advertised, not create an embarrassing situation at the tillpoint where I had to leave all items behind
